Residing in the Root center this gate has an underlying pressure attached to it. The pressure of this gate is the pressure to feel. There is a hunger for experience within you. This gate wants to experience something so that it can feel.

Now there is something remember; this gates energy isn't the act of having all the different experiences. It is simply the pressure, the starting pulse, the desire and urge to have something happen so that you can make meaning of that experience and share that meaning with the collective. It is a collective gate in the sensing circuit. This is the circuit of the experiential way.

An experience begins with ALL of the possibilities laid out on the table. Rarely is there a circumstance in life that we don't imagine every which way it could end. This gate is the one that begins the process of the human experiential way by imagining all of the possible ways an event, a situation, an experience can turn out. You know those books that have multiple endings; "choose your own adventure" type books. This gate is the person who thinks up all of those possible endings, not necessarily the person who reads the book and has all of the experiences themselves. Gate 30 (the other end of this gates channel) is the emotional process of setting expectations for these possibilities. "If I take this road into this experience then XYZ will happen). That is where the emotional wave attaches to our experiences and we can really be rocked around if our expectation of an experience is not met.

This gate gives you the gift of an amazing imagination, your ability to dream big is powerful as long as you stay connected to reality and do not attach to the realms of fantasy. There is a pressure from the root center here to bring these dreams and fantasies to life. Because of this ability to dream big and imagine greatly, you can have feelings of limitation, the annoyance of life holding you back.

In the iching this gate is pictured as a man cutting back his plants in the autumn. He is cutting them back knowing full well that they will bloom again, he fantasises about the endless possibilities in how they will bloom, but he does not attach to any of those fantasies.

Allow yourself to fantasize. Allow your mind to play in the real of possibilities and think up all of the various outcomes of your choices and decisions. Use you gift to enlighten others of all their possible roads, and then let them go. That is the mastery of this gates energy.
